In 1962, Texas A&M University and The Association of Former Students established the Distinguished Alumnus Award, the highest honor bestowed upon a former student of Texas A&M University and presented jointly at the Distinguished Alumni Gala. The award, jointly sponsored by The Association of Former Students and Texas A&M, recognizes former students whose exceptional accomplishments, service to others, and steadfast commitment to the University and their communities exemplify the core values of excellence, integrity, leadership, loyalty, respect and selfless service.
Nominations open each year on Jan. 1 and close on Aug. 30 at 11:59 p.m. If nominations are closed, you may review the criteria and begin working on your nomination.
