Howdy Dutch Waterways Traveling Aggies!!
I hope you share my enthusiasm for the incredible experience ahead – it promises to be truly memorable, and I am genuinely eager to meet all of you. I am prepared to disconnect from work and the current global geopolitical events for a few days. I look forward to appreciating Europe's landscapes and history, as well as enjoying the luxury, fun, educational opportunities, and careful planning provided by our hosts on every Traveling Aggies trip I have previously attended.
Aggie Muster is a sacred Texas A&M University tradition held annually on April 21 to honor the memory of Aggies who passed away during the preceding year. Over 300 gatherings worldwide, including the largest at Reed Arena, feature a barbecue, speaker, and the "Roll Call for the Absent," where "Here" is answered for the deceased. As Traveling Aggies, I knew of no better way that we could honor our fallen Aggies than to have an arrival Aggie Muster dinner. I have made dinner reservations at a recommended restaurant 0.2miles from the Hilton Antwerp Old Town. The Association of Former Students and Julie Scamardo suggested dinner at 5:30 or 6pm, as guests may have dinner plans and will likely want to get to bed early.
The Morso Restaurant is 0.2miles from Old Town Hilton Antwerp. The Morso offers Belgium and European foods, Alcohol, Vegetarian, Gluten Free choices and several other dietary choices since I did not know the Groups dietary restrictions. Pre Excursion Aggies are welcome to join for just the Aggie Muster Ceremony, a Howdy Cocktail or to stay for dinner. All Traveling Aggies are encouraged to attend. Please excuse my boldness to Honor our fallen Aggies. Here
Our reservation is 5:30pm. I thought we would meet in Hilton Lobby and walk over together.
