Howdy, Ags! The Denton County A&M Club Muster details for 2023 are below.
We'll be back at Royal Affairs Ballroom in Old Town Lewisville again this year, and our speaker for 2023 will be acclaimed basketball coach Gary Blair! In case you're not familiar:
- Texas A&M women's basketball coach from 2003 to 2022
- took the team from the worst in the Big 12 to NCAA National Champions in 8 seasons
- 2011 marked A&M's first ever Final Four appearance and national championship
- took the team to the NCAA tournament 15 of his 19 seasons (1 postseason cancelled by COVID-19), with a winning record 17 of his 19 seasons
- previously coached at SFA (8 seasons, all winning records, 6 NCAA tournament appearances) and Arkansas (10 seasons, all winning records, 5 NCAA tournament appearances)
- started his coaching career at South Oak Cliff High School, coaching the school's first ever woman's basketball team and setting a state record with 5 consecutive state tournament appearances and a 239-18 record during his 7 seasons
Cartwright's Ranch House will be catering another excellent meal for us, with entrée choices of chicken fried steak, grilled chicken, or steak.
Registration and bar open at 5:15 PM. Dinner starts being served at 6 PM. Ceremony starts at 7 PM. Dinner cost is TBD, but the ceremony itself is free.
Dinner tickets and RSVP's are REQUIRED to guarantee a meal and a seat, as this event may sell out. Tickets and RSVP's are LIVE on our website. Meal and/or seat are NOT guaranteed without advance purchase / RSVP.
