Steve Lawton '88 currently serves as a Director in World Wide Procurement for
Dell where he leads the Process, Tools, Governance and Supply Chain Social and
Environmental Responsibility team. Prior to Dell, Mr. Lawton worked at
Motorola in semiconductor process engineering, and at Rockwell as an engineer
in the Astronaut Office at the Johnson Space Center where he helped to design experiments
that flew on the space shuttle. Recently, Steve has been conducting
public speaking engagements centered on the benefits of Positive Thinking.
While at Texas A&M, Steve was the Head Civilian Redpot for the Fighting
Texas Aggie Bonfire and lived in Crocker Hall. He holds BS and MS degrees in
Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University, as well as an MBA from
St. Edwards University.
