Our speaker will be:
Blake Petty '98
Assistant Vice President for Innovation & Business Development (in the Office for the Vice
President for Reaserch @ TAMU)

Blake serves in the VPR as the Asst VP for Innovation and Business Development.  Blake leads applied research, innovation, and economic development initiatives for the University, and coordinates similar activities throughout the A&M System and with external parties.  He actively facilitates commercialization and entrepreneurship opportunities for 3,000 faculty researchers he serves at Texas A&M.  Blake promotes the range of Texas A&M's multi-disciplinary intellectual capabilities, and he nurtures public/private partnerships for the enhancement of educational and technological programs to benefit both Texas A&M and the State of Texas.
