The student Aggie Muster Committee recently announced that Bush School dean Gen. Mark A. Welsh III will be the keynote speaker for 2022's campus Muster, and local A&M Musters worldwide are also lining up their 2022 speakers.

Welsh has led the Bush School of Government and Public Service since he retired in 2016 as the United States' 20th Air Force Chief of Staff. Read more.

Speakers at hundreds of Musters worldwide in April will include Dat Nguyen '98, legendary linebacker for the Aggies and the Dallas Cowboys, at the Denton County A&M Club Muster, and Texas A&M president emeritus Dr. R. Bowen Loftin ’71 at the Houston A&M Club Muster (one of eight Musters in the greater Houston area).

The Southern California A&M Club Muster will feature Andrea Abat '89, the first woman to march as a senior in the Aggie Band, later a scientist and investigator for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and now director of incident analysis for Carnival cruise lines.

If you've been asked to speak at an Aggie Muster, The Association can supply you with resources and a sample speech. Register by creating or updating your profile in the Speakers Bureau, then email Andrew Balod '24 with the location of the Muster at which you will be speaking.

Over 200 Musters are already on the map for 2022 at tx.ag/FindAMuster.

Not all Musters have keynote speakers; local Musters vary widely, and can be simple gatherings for Aggie camaraderie. They usually include a Roll Call of Aggies lost in the previous year. Many off-campus Musters include a meal, from sit-down dinners to potlucks and picnics. Learn more, including which Musters can call a particular Aggie's name, at tx.ag/WhichMuster.

A&M Clubs or Muster organizers looking for a speaker can search The Association's Speakers Bureau, a free service supported by donations to The Association.

And, if you are interested in serving as a future Muster speaker or speaking at other Aggie events, you can create a profile for yourself at the same link.

To learn more about hosting a Muster, and to officially register a Muster so that The Association can count yours in the official total, supply you with planning materials and place your event on the map, visit tx.ag/HostAMuster.
