Howdy!
It is Reunion time! Our 35 Year Class Reunion time! We have listened to you through the years and based on the feedback from the survey last fall, we are trying something different for this Reunion. We are going to celebrate the first weekend of May: May 4 – 6, 2012. For those of our Class who graduated “on time” – it will be exactly 35 years ago that you walked across the stage to accept your diploma.
We have designed a weekend with time to visit over a meal, at the hospitality room, walking through the campus or at a sporting event. You will also have time to tour the renovated facilities including the MSC, the Clayton Williams, Jr. Alumni Center, and Olsen Field at Bluebell Park.
Make your reservations now if you have not already done so and call a Classmate or two or three to join you at our 35 Year Class Reunion.

Reunion Block Baseball Tickets
The Association of Former Students is pleased to announce a Class block of seats for the Texas Tech Baseball Game AND the Kansas Softball Game during the weekend of your Reunion. The 12
th Man Ticket Office is handling the ticket order process. Please contact the ticket office at 1-888-99-AGGIE or 979-845-2311 with any questions regarding tickets.
Reunion block tickets can be ordered now, ONLINE.
We strongly suggest that you order your baseball tickets early. Tickets will go on sale to the public after March 1 and seating will no longer be guaranteed in the Class Reunion Block. The 12th Man is expecting high sales this season due to the renovation of Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
If you did not order baseball tickets in the Reunion block prior to March 1, you may still order tickets, depending on ticket availability, by contacting the 12th Man Ticket office at 1-888-99-AGGIE. Tell them you are attending the game in conjunction with the Class of 1977 Reunion against Texas Tech and they will work with you to get you as close to the block as possible.
Class Agent Elections
Class Agents serve as a liaison between their Class and The Association. This is the perfect opportunity to get involved as a former student, stay connected to the university and gain some volunteer service. Elections are held in conjunction with your Reunions, so now is your chance!
Teams consist of three to four members of your Class and serve a five-year term. As a Class Agent you will serve on The Association of Former Students’ Leadership Council, which meets twice a year. The Association of Former Students provides orientation and resources to aid you in this role. Class Agents are responsible for keeping the Class informed through newsletters, web sites and emails, planning Class events and providing annual fund information to former students.
Your current Agents plan to run again and represent your Class if elected for another term. However, they have decided to expand the team to include Doris Koch and Troie Pruett Burch.
For more information go to
www.AggieNetwork.com/ClassAgent. Email
Class@AggieNetwork.com or call 800-633-7514 prior to your Reunion to get your name on the ballot!
Attire
Your Reunion is going to be a fun, casual affair. All Classmates are encouraged to wear their Class Reunion cap or visor on Saturday, but please keep in mind that no caps/visors are allowed to be worn in the MSC. As far as the weather, it could be hot or cold, dry or rainy—remember, it’s early May in Aggieland! So check the Weather Channel before you leave home, pack accordingly, and then still consider bringing the opposite of what they predicted! Keep in mind that no umbrellas are allowed at sporting events, so bring a poncho if you want to be prepared for rain.
Parking
Transportation to all events is on your own. There will not be shuttle service to/from the Hilton. For parking and/or campus maps visit the Transportation Services website.
http://transport.tamu.edu/specialevents/gamedayannc.aspx
On Friday, you can park in the parking garages or in the visitor parking spots at the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center. Parking is also available in the lots surrounding Kyle Field after 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
For Saturday, you can park at the Alumni Center lots or in the lots surrounding Kyle Field or Koldus Garage for the event at the MSC.
Pictures Needed!
We are working on a picture slide show to be shown during the Reunion and we need pictures from our time at A&M and previous Class Reunions. Please email any pictures from “back in the day” to Troie Burch at Agmom77@yahoo.com with the subject of “Class of 1977 Reunion Slide Show.” We had a slide show at the last Reunion that included pics from A&M days and different Reunions. We would like to include more in this Reunion slide show. If you would like to submit your digital photos, send a Class of ’77 Facebook message or email to Troie, and she will send you the link. If possible, identify the people, the event, and the date (at least the year), for the records. The slide show may not have the people identified due to the amount of time that will take. Please submit all pictures by April 30, 2012.
The Class of '77 Hospitality Suite: So it will never close, donate to the cause!
Our goal is to totally fund this hospitality room, but it might not happen as our donations are down. Hint. Hint. All amounts are appreciated. Information on how to donate can be found below. And…if you have an Aggie student that would like to help with set-up, re-stocking and clean-up, please have them contact Craig or Karen Scott at shed112@gmail.com. If we are able to collect enough donations, we will compensate them for taking on this responsibility.
Please send in your contribution to our Class of ’77 “It Will Never Close Hospitality Fund.” We will use the funds to keep the Hospitality Room supplied with refreshing adult beverages and groceries. We will accept individual and corporate donations – large and small. All contributors will be recognized so please give us all your contact information. This is your opportunity to help make this the most memorable Reunion ever. And remember, no amount is too small or too large. It all spends. Donations are not tax deductible for this fund.
