Does a Former Student Big Event have to be held on the same day as the A&M Big Event?

Participating on the same day is encouraged, but if there is a different date that works for your Club, feel free to change the date. However, the idea behind Former Student Big Event is for current A&M students and former students to all participate in the Big Event on the same day. Additionally, hosting on the same day can result in additional marketing leverage, since messaging and advertisements for A&M’s Big Event will also be applicable to your local A&M Club event.

Do we volunteer to help individuals or a local charity?

You can volunteer wherever you would like to! It may be easier for your Club to reach out to local charities, nonprofits, hospitals or local city governments that need volunteers to work on that day. However, if you know of individuals in your community who need help, you can set up that kind of volunteering as well.

Has this been done before?

A number of our A&M Clubs host volunteer events already, but the goal is to align the efforts with Big Event on campus and amplify our impact across the country. From San Francisco to Texas to New York, Clubs are already participating in service events - it's a great way to engage former students, young families and Ags who don’t attend other events.

How do attendees find the event and register?
