October 13, 2013 - October 26, 2013

India, a land of perpetual intrigue, ignites the imagination.  Shaped by 5,000 years of dynamic cultural history and encompassing an amazing diversity of environments, India offers the intrepid traveler an unparalleled natural history experience.  The lofty mountain passes of the Himalayas, barren sweeps of desert tracts, and verdant stands of sol forest support and incredible variety of habitats. Within these habitats thrives a remarkable spectrum of wildlife – 1,250 species of birds; 350 species of mammals, including the endangered Bengal Tiger; 400 species of reptiles – and an astounding array of flora.

On our journey we will explore cultural wonders and World Heritage sites throughout Delhi - a unique blend of ancient cultures with a legendary past and a vibrant present; Khajuraho - famous for its erotic and ancient temples; Bharatpur - a Bird Paradise; Agra and the Taj Mahal, the world's most opulent and lovely symbol of the love from an emperor to his favorite queen; and Bandhavgarh National Park where you will observe the endangered Royal Bengal Tiger.
