Robert L. "Bob" Goode '49, 80, of Bridgeport (formerly of Roby) died June 9, 2007. He played running back for the Washington Redskins NFL football team from 1949-55 as a first round draft pick and played in two Pro Bowl games. He was former owner of Dyna Mud Corporation and Dynamic Drilling. He played football at Texas A&M, setting several Southwest Conference rushing records and playing in two college all Star East-West Bowl games. He lettered 1945-48. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sylvia; a son; a daughter; and two grandsons.
