Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities Policy:

Aggie Ring Day is one of the most cherished days of a student’s time in Aggieland. A big part of what makes Aggie Ring Day so special for our current students are the Aggies who volunteer their time to present the Rings.

We are grateful for the overwhelming number of former students and friends of Texas A&M who want to present Rings on Aggie Ring Day. With so many willing to volunteer, The Association of Former Students has developed the following guidelines to help us include as many as possible in this exciting event:

  1. Aggie Ring Day volunteers must be current members of the Century Club. Non-Century Club members have served as volunteers in the past, but with the increasing number of volunteer requests we have received, we want to ensure that current donors to The Association of Former Students have an opportunity to be a part of Aggie Ring Day. To learn more about the Century Club or to make a gift, please see tx.ag/CenturyClub
  2. Around 2 months before each Ring Day, all Century Club members on the Volunteer List will receive an email with more information about when registration will open, which will typically happen around 50 days before Ring Day.
  3. Please note that the shifts always fill up quickly, and they are on a first come, first serve basis. There will be a wait list, should all the shifts fill up, and those on the wait list will be contacted in the event of cancellations or other openings a few days prior to Aggie Ring Day.
  4. Aggie Ring Day volunteers are asked to choose one shift per Aggie Ring Day, regardless of the number of days of the event, so that others have the opportunity to serve. If shifts remain open after volunteer registration closes, there is a possibility that volunteers can work more than one shift.
  5. Aggie Ring Day volunteers must complete an online training every year to participate as a volunteer. Those who sign up will receive a link to complete the training around 2 weeks from Ring Day.  Those who complete the training in the Spring will not be required to complete it again in the Fall.

For those who are willing and physically able to serve alongside The Association of Former Students’ team on Aggie Ring Day, we have several other volunteer opportunities available, both inside and outside or the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center. If you would like to assist our team in areas other than/in addition to presenting Aggie Rings, please email Volunteer@AggieNetwork.com for more details.
