William "Bill" Dallas '64

William J. "Bill" Dallas '64, 85, of Austin (formerly of Muskogee, Okla.) died April 25, 2008. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was shot down over France after flying 10 missions and was held a prisoner of war until the end of the war. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a major in 1960. After earning a civil engineering degree at Texas A&M, he worked for the Texas Highway Administration and retired after 20 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Allyne; four children; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister.
