The Distinguished Alumnus Award, the highest honor bestowed upon a former student of Texas A&M University, has been awarded since 1962 to only 356 (to date) of Texas A&M’s more than 629,000 former students.
Presented jointly by the university and The Association of Former Students, this award recognizes Aggies who have achieved excellence in their chosen professions and made meaningful contributions to Texas A&M University and their local communities.
The following have been announced as 2026 Distinguished Alumni of Texas A&M:

Online nominations for Distinguished Alumnus awards are open at tx.ag/DAnominations.
Nominations will remain under consideration for a maximum of five years. The nomination deadline for awards that will be given in 2027 or later is Aug. 30 at 11:59 p.m. Nominations submitted after that date will be considered for the 2028 cohort.
