Nominate campus Muster speaker or speak at a local Muster

Susan "Sue" Owen '94 November 20, 2023 4:25 PM updated: November 20, 2023 4:40 PM

Nominations for the 2024 campus Muster speaker are open until Nov. 26 at tx.ag/Speaker2024. Submit a name you think would be a good choice, and if you have any questions, the student Muster Committee can be reached at musterspeaker@gmail.com

The 2023 campus Muster speaker was Lt. Col. Tyson Voelkel '96, president and CEO of the Texas A&M Foundation; in 2022, Gen. Mark A. Welsh III, then-dean of Texas A&M's Bush School, gave the campus Muster address. Association donors provide $15,000-$16,000 annually for the ceremony as well as supporting Musters worldwide.

Speakers are also needed at many of the 250-plus local Musters that will be held in 2024.

To volunteer as a Muster speaker, or to find a speaker for your local Muster, visit The Association of Former Students' Speakers Bureau: AggieNetwork.com/SpeakersBureau.

This month, The Association began sending Muster planning information to hundreds of Muster chairs worldwide. Visit tx.ag/HostAMuster to learn how you can become a Muster host.

Over 270 Musters were registered with The Association last year, and 20 are already registered for 2024; view the map at tx.ag/FindAMuster. More will be added as April draws near.
