Aggies Piloting 4 F-16s For Sept. 18 Flyover

Susan "Sue" Owen '94 September 13, 2021 11:17 AM updated: October 4, 2021 8:59 AM

Four Aggie pilots will fly four F-16 fighters over Kyle Field before Saturday’s Texas A&M football game vs. New Mexico.

The Association of Former Students provides support for gameday flyovers and Midnight Yell, and coordinates events to bring Aggies together such as Class Reunions, Young Alumni Weekend and, at away games, Yell Practice and free All-Aggie Tailgates.

The pilots for Sept. 18, from the Oklahoma National Guard’s 138th Fighter Wing, will be:

  • Lt. Col. James “Hijak” Goeppinger ’00
  • Lt. Col. Chris “Temper” Wells ’01
  • Lt. Col. Nick “TBone” Moore ’04
  • Maj. Adam “Sumo” Gazda ’05

If you’re an Association of Former Students donor, you help provide hotel accommodations for pilots and crew for home game flyovers. Thank you!

Gameday and parking information can be found at gameday.12thMan.com/football. The Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center parking lots are temporarily closed due to construction, but the building will be open Sept. 18 before and during the game, closing 30 minutes after the game ends; find details on building access at tx.ag/Visit.

For away games, get details on Association events including Yell Practices at 10 p.m. with the A&M yell leaders and the free All-Aggie Tailgate at tx.ag/AwayGames.

Your donations help The Association of Former Students provide programs and support for current and former students of Texas A&M. To help us help more Aggies, visit tx.ag/Give.
