Paul Pausky '78 with Former Student Career Services gave some career advice in a COVID-19 environment. Below are some resources he mentioned for Aggies.

His first piece of advice: "Don't panic in this environment. We've got resources to help you."

The Career Center's specialists can provide you with the tools and resources you need to effectively explore your options, then access and utilize the Aggie Network. They can help you fine-tune your resume, perfect your interviewing skills and identify job openings in your field. Visit AggieNetwork.com/Careers to learn more.

Check out two books he recommended: 48 Days to the Work You Love and Designing Your Life.

After you've updated your LinkedIn profile and made sure "you have a good elevator pitch," join the Aggie Network LinkedIn Group. It's a space just for former students where you can connect with other Aggies, talk about jobs and more. Join the group here.

Former Student Career Services also conducts a webinar twice a month from noon to 1 p.m. Texas time on the first Monday and third Wednesday for Texas A&M former students, dubbed the "First Mondays Career Focus." Get information on registering here.

Check out the Jobs Network Forum on TexAgs here.

Contact fscshelp@tamu.edu for additional details.

There's also lots of ways that are unique to former students to build your network by tapping into the ever growing Aggie Network! Attending Aggie Muster, getting active in a Texas A&M Club and utilizing the former student directory are just a few. Learn more here

Texas A&M's Career Center offers Former Student Career Services year-round and throughout your career. The Association of Former Students helps fund its great work for both current and former students; in 2017, Association donors provided $63,000 to the center.

Aggies helping Aggies find jobs has been a key part of The Association for more than a century. Today, The Association provides free career tools directly to Aggies and thousands of dollars in funding to the Career Center.
