Calling all Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware Aggies - you're invited to join us for a "Virtual" Muster in 2020.
Our Board had been holding out hope that perhaps there would be an improvement with the COVID-19 outbreak that would allow us to host our Muster gathering on April 26, but at this time we're making the tough decision to cancel our in-person Muster. The safety of our Aggies is paramount, and we don't feel there will be enough of a change in three weeks to allow us to safely gather. If you have purchased tickets already, you will be refunded the full amount, unless you would like to direct the money to our scholarship fund.
However, this only means we just have to get creative. And our Muster chairs have done just that. We have put together a short video so we can host our own "virtual Muster." This video is specific to our club, and calls the names of those who have passed on in the prior year. We encourage you to save this link, and on April 21 (or any day you are ready to participate in Muster) pull it up to answer "here" for our fellow Ags. The link redirects to YouTube: https://youtu.be/zCQ-QrVTDMo
We know typically at our Muster you have the option to highlight names from the "worldwide roll call" list of classmates or friends that may not necessarily live in our club boundaries but you still would like to have called out - and while we won't be able to do that this year, our Muster chairs did leave a brief moment in the video for you to say the names of any you want to personally add. You can also participate in the Association of Former Students "worldwide roll call" where they will read all 1,600 names of Aggies from around the world that passed away last year.
We're sad that we won't be able to gather as we have in prior years, but we hope this virtual option keeps our bond to each other strong. And know that our 2021 Muster will be bigger and better when we have the chance to be together again.
