Howdy, Fellow Classmates!
March 2 - 4, 2022 is our last Class of '67 formal Class Reunion. At this event we will join the senior statesmen and stateswomen of The Association of Former Students - “The Sul Ross Group”. Please see the Reunion information on this page for further information about this gathering of our Class of '67 friends.
The Sul Ross Group was organized in 1947 to include all former students who attended TAMC during the years Sul Ross was president of the college. It grew by adding each Class as that Class attained 50 years (now 55 years) since graduation. This organization provides legacy leaders, advisors and mentors to Texas A&M and The Association and it is very important in continuing the spirit, traditions and values upheld by true Aggies throughout the ages. Your membership and involvement in the SRG is your pathway to continued participation in efforts to ensure our class comradeship and also the maintenance of the traditions we learned beginning in September 1963 as “fish”. We can continue our support of A&M both individually and through our involvement in SRG beginning on March 2nd.
Please complete the Reunion registration NOW! Don’t wait. And if you haven’t made hotel reservations, do that now as well. The block of available rooms won't last much longer. Join us and renew old friendships, get acquainted with SRG older Ags who come to these reunions from as far back as the 1940s and also get the latest campus information. If you previously made hotel reservations for the reunion, that's great, however, ASAP you still need to register for the Reunion by completing and mailing the registration form, or by completing it online. Contact either one of us if you have questions.
Mickey and Terrell
Dear Sul Ross Group (SRG) Members,
Howdy! We, the Sul Ross Group Board of Directors hope that all of you and yours had a great, safe and healthy Christmas and New Year!
In November 2021, we sent you the Sul Ross Group Reunion planning information and asked that you consider the hotel options and begin registration. Now, Josh Reinbolt ’99 and his team have prepared and included the reunion details and activities’ information so you can register. It is all included on this webpage or in the packet mailed to you, so I shall not amplify that here since we did that for you in November.
Assuredly however, we are looking forward to 2-4 of March 2022 and seeing you all again here in Aggieland! We believe we have an enjoyable and informative program planned for you as we start the “final countdown.” The pandemic has obviously affected us over the past year and a half, and it is still not over. The latest variant (Omicron) has turned out to be infectious but less severe and shorter in duration. The University has set the standards for student return this month and we are following their lead in our planning. So, we have concluded that we can proceed safely and successfully!
Again, we ask that you please register. Thank you for your support as always. We wish you safe travels and look forward to seeing you soon!
Sincerely,
Joe Ashy ’62
President Sul Ross Group
