Joseph Napiecek '72 tells the good bull story of how a native Pittsburgher who grew up very near the Southside bar we met in ended up at Texas A&M University. He said it was cheaper for him to study at Texas A&M as an out-of-state student than commute over the river to the University of Pittsburgh. He also was ready to get out of town. Of the colleges that accepted him, "Texas A&M was the farthest away."
