JD Foster was a member of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets, where he was a member of 3 different outfits during his time in the Corps. He was specifically recruited from Squadron 3 to join Squadron 20, the pre-professional outfit, following his sophomore year to fill in one of the various junior leadership roles and was eventually slotted as the "Gunnery Sergeant" in Squadron 20, responsible for sophomore training. JD was selected as a member of the Ross Volunteers where he was placed in the "Meatball" Platoon. He was later selected as the Commanding Officer for Squadron 20. After marching Final Review, JD earned a law degree from Texas Tech School of Law and, simultaneously, an MBA from the Texas Tech Rawls College of Business. During his time in Lubbock, JD remained connected to Aggieland through the law school's A&M Club, serving as an officer and leading the Crawfish for CASA fundraiser to support the local CASA (i.e., Court Appointed Special Advocates) organization. After passing the bar, he joined Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas, focusing on civil litigation in real estate and related matters. In 2018, he founded his own law firm, practicing civil litigation and business law. In 2022, JD expanded the firm to form Foster Massengill, PLLC. Foster Massengill is located in Ellis County, Texas where the firm handles real estate, estate planning, business, and civil litigation. The firm also serves as an appointed fee office for Lawyer's Title, a subsidiary of Fidelity National Title Company, providing real estate closings and title services. JD met his wife, Andrea in 2016, and they married in 2018. They live in Ellis County, Texas with their two children, Ansley (born 2015) and Lawson (born 2019), near both his parents and Andrea's mother. An avid college sports fan, JD enjoys the excitement of the games, especially cheering for the Aggies. Deeply committed to the traditional culture, values, and traditions of Texas A&M, JD is passionate about preserving the University's unique culture. While JD often jokes about the "maroon kool-aid" being a real selling point for the particular culture and traditions all Aggies hold dear, Aggie Muster is JD's favorite Aggie tradition. Since 2016, he has been an active member of the Ellis A&M Club, serving in various roles and currently as Club President, elected in late 2023, continuing his dedication to the Aggie community.
