He was born in Topeka, Kansas on May 8, 1962. He attended schools in Arizona, Mississippi, and California and graduated from the Kaiserslaughtern American High School in Germany. He graduated from Texas A & M University and St. Mary's Law School. He worked as a reporter in Clute, College Station, Killeen, and Kerrville, Texas. He clerked for the Texas Supreme Court of Appeals, was a defense attorney in San Antonio, a trust officer for Wells Fargo in Austin, and an Assistant District Attorney in Palestine, Crockett, and El Paso. Most recently he was a defense attorney in Brazos County. Robert is survived by a younger brother, David McGlohon and his wife Kimberly of El Paso, and his sister, Amy Goertz and her husband Jason of Dripping Springs, as well as five nephews and nieces, Tyler, Ellen, and Janie of El Paso and Rebecca and Michael of Dripping Springs. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in the name of Robert A.
