Upon his graduation from Texas A&M University in 1953, George started his professional career in accounting at a "Big 8" accounting firm in Houston where he became one of their youngest junior partners. In the early 1960's, he began a long and illustrious career in the oil & gas industry, starting as Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer with Camco International in Houston. It wasn't long before George went on to establish his own petroleum related businesses in Texas and later in Colorado. In the late 1980's George returned to Houston where he worked as the Chief Financial Officer for a manufacturing firm. At the turn of the century, he obtained his real estate license and he worked diligently to develop the beautiful Woodglen subdivision in Cat Spring, Texas where he made his home with his daughter and son-in-law Kristina and Glenn Wilmar and their three daughters.
