Published in The (Port Huron MI) Times Herald from April 23 to April 25, 2010 Joe B. Pafford Joe B. Pafford Port Huron Mr. Joe B. Pafford, 79, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010. He was born April 6, 1931 in Pampa, Texas to the late Ernest J. and Gladys Pafford. He married Joan Rodger Dingman on January 6, 1968 in Pampa, Texas. Mr. Pafford graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.A. in Accounting. He was a member of the Corps of Cadets. He served in the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant. Joe was employed by Cabot Corporation for 38 years in many positions and locations, including the United States, Canada, England and Malaysia. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Joe gave freely of his endless supply of small town goodness, generosity, ethics and expertise by helping others wherever he lived in both his church and his community. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joan R. Pafford; five children, Laurie (Greg) Whittemore of San Jose, California, Meredith (Doug) Sutton of Del Valle, Texas, Jon Dingman of Sarnia, Ontario, Andrew (Katie) Dingman and Mike (Barb) Pafford, all of London Ontario; grandchildren, Jessica and Sam Whittemore, Tyler and Dylan Sutton, John and Crystal Dingman, Austin and Macauley Pafford; two sisters, Marilyn (Bob) Connor of Norman, Oklahoma and LeAnn (Jim) Pafford of New Braunfels, Texas; a sister-in-law, Nancy (Stan) Znamierowski of Green Valley, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Monday, April 26, 2010 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with a prayer service following at 8 p.m. The Reverend Jason E. Pittman of First Presbyterian Church will officiate. A celebration of Joe's life will be held at a later date with interment of his ashes in his boyhood home in the Texas Panhandle by the north fork of the Red River.
