Henry "Harry" Baldwin III '45

Henry F. 'Harry' Baldwin III '45, 84, of Odessa (formerly of El Paso) died Dec. 23, 2009. During World War II, he was a flight instructor pilot for advance training and served 21 months in the 6th Air Force flying B-24s and B-17s on submarine patrol out of Panama. He remained in the reserve until he was recalled during the Korean War in the Strategic Air Command 8th Air Force. He joined El Paso Natural Gas Co. in 1946, living in both El Paso and Houston. He was later transferred to the El Paso Products Co., moving to Odessa in 1964. After he retired, he went into business with Water Purifications Systems in Odessa and surrounding areas and the Water Factory Co. in Fort Stockton. Survivors include his wife, Laurene; a son; a daughter; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
