Henry F. "Hank" Hauser '41, 88, of Sierra Vista, Arizona (formerly of Kerrville) died Dec. 18, 2006. He served in the U.S. Army under General Douglas MacArthur in the South Pacific theater during World War II. He retired as a colonel in 1961 at Fort Huachuca, Arizona after working as a surveillance image interpreter and a photometrical engineer. He retired from the civil service in 1973. His military decorations include the Bronze Star. He was mayor of Sierra Vista from 1969-71 and president of the Sierra Vista school board in 1974. He was inducted into the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame in 2003. He was on Texas A&M's National Championship team of 1939 and lettered in football in 1938, 1939, and 1940. He lettered in golf in 1939, 1940 and 1941. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Jane; two sons; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and a brother.
