Colonel Dave Termin, Jr. January 19, 2007 Colonel Dave Termin, Jr., passed away on January 19, 2007. He was born in Dallas, Texas on March 24, 1917, the only child of Dave and Eddie Termin. He grew up in Dallas and Waco. In 1938 he graduated from Texas A&M and was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He served in the North Africa, Sicily, and Italy campaigns of World War II. Following the war he returned to Dallas where he met June Dismukes. They were married on July 6, 1946. His later assignments in the Army were in the United States, Germany, the Republic of Vietnam and South Korea. He retired from the Army in 1971 and lived in retirement in Austin, San Antonio and Lewisville. He was preceded in death by his wife, June, in 1999. He is survived by his children, Patti and David; grandchildren, James, Patrick, Georgia, David and Jeff; and 7 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, January 22, 2007 in the Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas.

Dave Termin, Jr. '38 of Plano died Jan. 19, 2007. He served in the U.S. Army in North Africa, Sicily and Italy during World War II and later in the U.S., Germany, the Republic of Vietnam and South Korea. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1971 at the rank of colonel and lived in retirement in Austin, San Antonio and Lewisville. Survivors include a son, David C. Termin '76; a daughter; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
