John M. Craddock '36, 91, of Houston (formerly of Dublin, Granbury and Stephenville) died June 7, 2007. He was a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II overseeing aircraft engine repair and serving as an electronics officer, as a signal officer in the Pacific Fleet, and as chief of staff to General Curtis LeMay. His military decorations include the Bronze Star. He worked for Humble Oil & Refining (later Exxon). His last position was in New York where he oversaw the construction of Exxon's new building in Rockefeller Center. He worked at Bovay Engineering after he retired. He commanded a composite regiment in the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M his senior year. Survivors include two sons, including David A. Craddock '89; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
