Lyle "Tony" Wolfskill '53

Lyle A. 'Tony' Wolfskill '53, 76, of Huntsville (formerly of Rankin and Houston) died April 28, 2009, after a lengthy illness. He served in the U.S. Army Field Artillery in Germany. He taught and did research at M.I.T in Cambridge, Mass., for 10 years before returning to Texas in 1973 where he was a consulting engineer with Woodward-Clyde Consultants of Houston for 10 years, with expertise in chemical waste management. He was a private consultant in retirement. He lettered in rifle at Texas A&M in 1951. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Marylin; five sons, including L. Anthony Wolfskill II '76, L. Arthur Wolfskill '80, and L. Alan Wolfskill '84; a daughter, Betty Wolfskill Channing '79; an adoptive daughter; 16 grandchildren, including Rebekah Steely Brooker '00, Lyle A. Wolfskill III '02, Leslie (Wolfskill) Graziadei '05, Rebecca L. Wolfskill '05, Jennifer A. Channing '06 and Jessica A. Channing '09; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister.
