Jay Don Howe

March 9, 1962 - October 13, 2024

Jay Don Howe passed away on October 13, 2024.

Jay Don was born to Johnny Ed and Dona Howe in Pierre, South Dakota on March 9, 1962. He grew up believing in hard work and dedication. This mindset followed him through his education at Texas A&M University, and into his professional life. Those who worked with him knew how dedicated he was to his career, being the person others could always rely on.

Jay Don married his former wife, Shannon Howe, in 2000 and went on to start their family. Jay went above and beyond in his role as Dad to both of their daughters, Kelsey and Karley, and took pride in his role in their lives. He loved to spend time with his family, and filled that time with special memories. Most of all, Jay Don cherished vacations to the beach with Shannon and his daughters, as well as holidays celebrated at home. In his spare time, you could find Jay Don reading a good book or watching Texas Aggie football, both hobbies which he passed on to both of his children.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by his former wife, Shannon Howe of Marshall, TX, his brother, Johnny Wade Howe of Lodi, TX, his sister, Kimberly Howe of Norman, OK, his two daughters, Kelsey Parra of Longview, TX and Karley Spitz of North Augusta, SC; his nieces and nephews: Brittany Howe of Marshall, TX, Brandon Howe of Marshall, TX, Courtney Howe of Marshall, TX, Addison Howe of Marshall, TX, Justin Ratley of Spring TX, and Colin Ratley of Norman, OK; and his two grandchildren.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at Cypress Valley Bible Church Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
