Suryakant J. Shah 

August 20, 1948 - October 27, 2024 

Suryakant Shah, age 76, passed away peacefully on October 27th, 2024 surrounded by family. Born in the small village of Bhoika, India, Suryakant grew up in a close-knit family as the second youngest of eight siblings.

Determined to pursue his education, he moved to Ahmedabad for high school and became the first in his family to attend college. He earned a degree in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University and went on to become a successful entrepreneur in steel manufacturing.

Suryakant was a devoted son, brother, husband, and father. He instilled values of independence and perseverance in his children. At home, he was known for his happy-go-lucky demeanor and mild manner, while commanding great respect in his professional life. He always saw the positives in people.

Suryakant enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, often working around the house, arranging and fixing things. He also loved traveling to new places and eating out.

Suryakant is survived by his loving wife, Bhavana Shah; his son, Kunjal Shah; his daughter-in-law, Alpa Shah; his daughter, Esha Modi; his son-in-law, Kaushal Modi; and his cherished grandchildren, Ansh Shah, Kush Modi, and Yash Shah.

His legacy of kindness, resilience, and positivity will live on in all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, NC 27545.
