Victoria Irene Pons
July 14, 1977 - March 5, 2022

Passed away yesterday, March 5th, 2022 from pancreatic cancer. She was born in Leon, Gto. Mexico on July 1977 to Mauricio Pons Padilla and Cathy Kane. Victoria moved to the United States in 1986 where she lived in McAllen, Texas through high school. She attended St. John’s Elementary, Our Lady of Sorrows Junior High School, and McAllen Memorial High School. After high school, Victoria graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s in Accounting and a Master’s in Finance. Subsequently, Victoria worked at Ernst & Young, Le Tourneau, the PCAOB, and The Seigfried Group.

Victoria had several interests which included international travel, archery, art, and making ceramics. As well as little old lady activities such as embroidery, crochet, and reading. Highlights of her travels include visiting the Christo Art Installation at Lake Iseo, Italy, Uluru in Australia, The Blue Hole in Croatia, Native American dances in Albuquerque, The Taj Mahal, Agra, India, and cave diving in Cozumel. While she only did two years of ceramics it became her passion. Victoria always loved and appreciated her friends.

Victoria is survived by her parents, her brother Mauricio Pons English, his husband Drake English, their daughter Kate Leighton English, and many other family members such as aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Victoria is also survived by her cat, Cheeto El Gato Bonito Pons, and her dog, Tallulah (Lulu) Belle Pons.
