Michael Wayne Tinsley tragically left this earth on Monday, March 18, 2019. He was 48-years-old.
Michael was born January 29, 1971, in Wharton, Texas to Wayne and Penny Tinsley. He graduated from Klein Oak High School in 1989 and Texas A&M University in 1993. For the last 21 years, he has served AIG in various project management roles. His most memorable
role came in 1999 when he met his wife Jamie on the third floor of the American General Life Building, and for the last 20 years an amazing love story was being written. A love story that endured successes and failures, highs and lows, laughter and tears,
fear and excitement, and in the very end, tragedy.
“When a man died in ancient Greece, they only asked a single question: Did he have a passion?” Michael’s passion was his family. He was proud of the life he had built for his wife and daughters. He wished it involved less work and more play, but he loved “Team
Tinsley.” He was their team captain and they adored him. You couldn’t get him to talk about much, but he would talk to you forever about his sweet little girls and of course, his Aggies. Even so, his quiet spirit was so breathtakingly beautiful.
When he wasn’t throwing a softball with Tori, shooting hoops with Avery or wrangling his two beloved pups, Sully and Birdie, you’d find Michael outside in his garden – his most therapeutic hobby.
Michael is survived by his wife and two daughters, who love him more than anything and will miss him terribly; his loving parents Wayne and Penny Tinsley and his sister Lisa Roman and her husband David. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws
and a nephew.
