Frank Fred Eichman Jr.

Frank Fred Eichman Jr., age 83 of Brentwood, TN, joined the Church Triumphant on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018. He was born in San Antonio, TX on December 7, 1934 to Frank Fred Eichman and Alvis Cockrill Eichman.

With multiple degrees from Texas A&M University, Frank was a proud member of the Fighting Texas Aggie Band and a lifelong Aggie supporter. He pursued further graduate study at Southern Methodist University. A commissioned Army veteran, Frank was called back to active duty with the 49th Armored Division during the Berlin Crisis of 1961. Following discharge from service, Frank began a career in data processing at Texas Instruments in Dallas, after which he directed information technology for Aladdin Industries in Nashville and Ethyl Corporation in Baton Rouge. An active member of the Presbyterian Church, Frank served over the years as elder, treasurer, and youth leader. Frank was an avid student of history and military strategy and an enthusiastic philatelist and collector of electronic components and tools.

Frank is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judith Jeter Dennis Eichman; sons, Eric Frank Eichman and Brandt Frederick Eichman and his wife, Jessica; grandsons, Charles Frederick Eichman and James Thomas Eichman, all of Nashville; aunt, Sue Cockrill Gewin and her husband, Richard of Oklahoma City; and cousin, Moonyne Cockrill Toepperwein and her husband, Dale of Flatonia, Texas.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at First Presbyterian Church, 4815 Franklin Pike, Nashville, TN 37220. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. in Cheek House, followed by a Service of Witness to the Resurrection and Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. in Stanford Chapel.

The family wishes to express appreciation to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for the highly skilled, professional, and empathetic healthcare provided to Frank. Memorial donations may be made to Sanctuary Choir, First Presbyterian Church, 4815 Franklin Pike, Nashville, TN 37220.
