Charles Joe Henicke
April 10, 1939 - March 22, 2018

Charles Joe Henicke, 78, of Kingsland, Texas and formerly from Columbus, Texas passed away on March 22, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas.

He was born on April 10, 1939 to Walter Joe and Martha Patsy (Evans) Henicke in La Grange, TX. On May 29, 1965 he married Shirley Beyers.

Charles was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Columbus, graduated from Columbus High School, Texas A & M University and received a masters degree from the University of Southern California.

After twenty years of service, Charles retired from the United States Air Force and Civil Service and has lived in Kingsland the past fifteen years.

He was a member of Kingsland Lions Club, Director of Texas Lions Children's Camp in Kerrville, TX and a Director of Kingsland Municipal Utility District.

Charles is survived by his wife, Shirley Henicke of Kingsland, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Joe and Martha Patsy (Evans) Henicke.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, 11:00 am at Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Columbus with Pastor Alan Kethan officiating.

Memorials are suggested to the Texas Lions Children's Camp, PO Box 290247, Kerrville, TX 78029-0247.
