Jefferson Award winner Omer Jenkins, 81, of College Station, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016. Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away in Bryan at the Hospice Brazos Valley Inpatient Care Facility.
Omer was born to Conley Harell Jenkins and Bessie Rushing Jenkins on March 24, 1934 in Dallas, Texas. Educated at Mesquite High School, University of North Texas, and Texas A&M, Omer taught Statistics at Texas A&M for over thirty years. He enjoyed traveling,

was presented in 2011 to honor him for his years of community service.
