James W. Collier, class of '46, passed away on September 11, 2015. He was born in Ft. Worth, Tx on August 8, 1925. He received bachelors degrees in mechanical and petroleum engineering. A veteran of WW II and the Korean conflict, he served in the US navy as
a lieutenant JG. His work entailed designing gas plants and he was employed by several companies, including Pure Oil and Fluor Engineering. He married Maxine Pagliughi and had 5 children; James W. Collier, Jr. ('71), Susan Payne, Patrick Collier ('78), Thomas
Collier, and Richard Collier. He later remarried and moved to Washington, where he retired. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, of Lynden, Wa. his children and their spouses, and several grandchildren

James W. Collier, age 90, was born on Aug. 8, 1925, in Fort Worth, Texas, and died on Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at Whatcom Hospice House. There will be no services at his request. Arrangements are by Whatcom Cremation & Funeral….
