ROXANNE PETERS
Roxanne Alyce Peters (née Sikes) died unexpectedly in Pleasanton on August 7, 2015 at the age of 52.
Roxanne is survived by her father, Ronnie Sikes of Port Lavaca; step mother, Lucy Sikes of Port Lavaca; husband, Tim Peters of Seguin; son, August Peters of Leander; son, Lucas Peters of Goodwell, Oklahoma; daughter, Alyce Peters of Lubbock; sister, Rhonda
Kokena of Port Lavaca; brother, Richard Sikes of New Castle, Pennsylvania; and sister Marci Nisely of Briggs. She is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Boyd, of Port Lavaca.
Roxanne was born on November 23, 1962 in Port Lavaca to Ronnie Sikes and Virginia Sikes. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 1997 with a degree in Journalism. She married Tim Peters, the love of her life in 1983. After eventually settling down in Pleasanton,
Roxanne spent most of her time raising her three children, shuttling them to and from sports practices and teaching them the ups and downs of life. Her children remember her as a kind but driven mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
Roxanne was a devoted wife and mother. No task or job was ever too big for her. She was a passionate woman who always gave 100% in everything she did. She was a selfless person and always put her family first, especially her three children.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2pm on August 15, 2015 at The First United Methodist Church in Port Lavaca, TX – 814 N. San Antonio Street, Port Lavaca, with a reception to follow at the home of Ronnie and Lucy Sikes - 768 Sikes Rd. Port Lavaca. All are
