Donald Ray "Don" Young, 81, of Humble, formerly Baytown, was born March 24, 1934, in Hill County, TX and passed away Friday, June 19, 2015, at home surrounded by his family. He was a 1952 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and received his Bachelor's degree
and Master's degree from Texas A&M University. He was an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God Church for 58 years. He loved hunting, woodworking, and traveling the U. S. and world with his wife.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Laura Young and brother, Bob Allen Young. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Juanita Young of Humble; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Don Chewning of Humble; son, Kenyon Young of Walnut Creek, CA;
and grandchildren, Preston Chewning and wife, Kayla and Katie Chewning, all of Humble and Dominique Young of San Diego, CA.
His family will have a private visitation with a private burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery and there will be a memorial service Saturday, June 27, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at the Crossroads Fellowship Church, 12110 East Sam Houston Parkway North, Houston,
TX 77044 with Rev. Michael Allard officiating.
In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions may be made in memory of Don Young to the Teen Challenge of San Diego, 5450 Lea St., San Diego, CA 92105.
