Roscoe Harvey Murray, Jr.

Born: Wed., Sep. 26, 1934
Died: Sun., Jan. 19, 2014

Lincolnton-Roscoe Harvey Murray, Jr, age 89 of Lincolnton passed away January 19, 2014 at his residence. He was born September 26, 1924 in Freeport, TX to the late Roscoe Harvey Murray and Lydia Mariam Murray.
He is a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church, a veteran of the US Army and worked as a Chemical Engineer for Exxon Mobile for many years.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie Murray and all his brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda C. Murray of the home, two daughters, Lydia M. Alter and Virginia M. Collier, two step-sons, Stacy R. Reel of Iron Station and Chris R. Reel of Denver, NC, and three grandchildren, Catlin Reel, Samuel Reel and Sophia Reel.
Services will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Pisgah United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 12:00-12:45 PM at the church. The interment will be in the church cemetery. Rev. Dr. Judy H. Eurey will officiate.
E. F. Drum Funeral Home is serving the Murray family.
