Julius “Gene” Palmer
Julius “Gene” Palmer, 85, of Camilla died Friday, April 24, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 27 at Pinecrest Memory Gardens in Pelham. Rev. Carrie Myers will officiate.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Palmer, Bernie Palmer, Maitland Yates, Alva Crow, Ray Dixon, and Wayne Oliver.
Born May 27, 1929 in Camilla, Mr. Palmer was the son of the late Julius Garland and Mary Elizabeth Bolton Palmer. He was a retired accountant and a member of Camilla United Methodist Church. Mr. Palmer graduated from Texas A&M and was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Survivors include two daughters, Julie Lane and husband Artie of Houston, Texas and Kay Miller and husband Jerry of Liberty, Mississippi; two grandsons, Max Miller and wife Danielle and Jeffrey Miller; great granddaughter, Swayze Miller.
The family will receive friends following service at Pinecrest Memory Gardens.
