George Roland Tubbs was born Feburary 25, 1928 in Houston, Texas and passed away May 2, 2015 in Dallas, Texas.

Preceded in death by Nelson C. Tubbs, father, Isabel L. Tubbs, mother, William Tubbs, brother, Norma Jean Tubbs, sister

Survived by Leah (Gerry) Tubbs, wife, Leah Stafford, daughter, Katherine Tubbs, daughter, Nelson Tubbs, son, Ed Stafford, son-in-law, Lori Tubbs, daughter-in-law, Erin Stafford, granddaughter, Elissa Stafford, granddaughter, Sherly Tubbs, granddaughter, Kevin Tubbs, grandson

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 7, 2015 at The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration at Hillcrest and Spring Valley.

After the church service there will be a short graveside ceremony at Restland followed by a luncheon to celebrate the life of George Tubbs.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75238 at Restland Road.

The Lord took George Roland Tubbs. Fighting Texas Aggie class of '49, home on May 2, 2015 due to complications from pneumonia. He was born in Houston and raised in Ennis. He was a US Navy Korean war veteran and worked as a Chemist in the Oil & Gas industry for 35 years. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gerry, two daughters, Leah and Katherine '84 and a son, Nelson '85.
