H. O. Townsend 
(December 27, 1944 - May 30, 2014)

H.O. Townsend of Naples, Texas passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 in Mount Pleasant, Texas at the age of 69 years. He was born Howard Osbourne Townsend on December 27, 1944, the son of Howard and Carrie (Fuel) Townsend.
H.O. was a retired software designer for BMC, a member of the Amateur Radio Relay League, Assistant Director West Gulf American Radio League. He also served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Townsend of Naples, Texas; his parents, Howard and Carrie Townsend of Mount Pleasant, Texas; a daughter, Judy Ann Higgins and her husband Richard Higgins, Jr.; two sons, Howard “Chip” Osbourne Townsend II and his wife Alecia Jeannine, Robert Allen Townsend and his wife Melanie Ann; one sister, Ann Payne of Kirbyville, Texas; grandchildren, Tad, Montana, Savannah, Macey, Tres, Brett, Ben, Howie, Cordelia, and Nora.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Chapel. Interment will be at the Masonic Cemetery in Mount Pleasant. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
