Robert Hoskins(1961 - 2015)
ROBERT COLEMAN HOSKINS
1961-2015
Robert Coleman Hoskins, affectionately known as "Robt", was called home by his Lord and Savior on February 13, 2015. His bright, cheerful life began on December 20, 1961, in Houston, Texas where he was welcomed into the world by his parents, Isaac and Noema Hoskins. This proud Aggie graduated from Texas A & M University in 1984 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. After graduation, Robert began his work in the oil field, with the intention of learning the business from the ground up. This took him out of Texas for a little while, and into Oklahoma where he met Donna K. Tite. They became lifelong sweethearts on November 4, 1988. Together, Robert and Donna supported each other through countless moves and international travels. They had one son, Robert Coleman Hoskins Jr., and one daughter, Kaci Hoskins. Throughout his life, Robert touched the lives of everyone around him with his consistent ability to find the silver lining in everything. He was a special man who held many very special roles. He was a son, a husband, a father, a coach, a hard-working employee and boss, and he always seemed to have no problem flowing seamlessly from one to the other. His upbeat attitude, loyalty, honesty, intelligence, empathy, and incredible work ethic impressed and earned him the respect of countless employers and employees throughout his career. For 27 years, he worked diligently for BJ Services before moving on to Baker Hughes and then finally landing his dream job as the President of Trican USA. He had a smile that could light up any room, and nobody was immune to his contagious laugh, quick-wit, and sense of humor. Robert spent the last years of his life doing what he loved – traveling to and from his favorite place in the entire world, his ranch in Eastland, TX. He considered it to be a blessing from God and made it a place for his family and friends to come together and enjoy the simpler way of life. Together, he and his entire family built many happy memories there, along with his right-hand man Ray Meadows, and his dog Trisha – who was an ever-faithful friend.
Robert is preceded in death by his father, Isaac Coleman Hoskins. He is survived by his mother, Noema Hoskins, his wife, Donna Hoskins, his son, Robert Hoskins Jr., his daughter, Kaci Hoskins, his sister, Donna Veale, his beloved nieces, Allison Veale, Marion Veale, Callie Veale, Crystal Tite, and Autumn Berlew, and his special nephews, which include Coleman Veale, Austin Metheny, and Dylan Berlew. Memorial service to celebrate Robert's incredible life will be held at the Klein Funeral Home in Magnolia, TX on Friday, February 20th at 2:00 PM, and a graveside service will immediately follow at Klein Memorial Park, 14711 FM1488, Magnolia, TX.
