Ali S. Aghaei
Ali S. Aghaei, of Houston, Texas and formerly of Centerville, passed away on January 7, 2015 in Houston at the age of thirtyfive years. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 12, 2015 at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville. Interment will follow in the Parker Cemetery, northeast of Centerville in the Flo Community. A public visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the Walters Funeral Home.
Ali S. Aghaei was born on March 13, 1979 in Teague, Texas to Shahram “George” & Rita (Moore) Aghaei. He was raised in Centerville was a 1997 graduate of Centerville High School. Shortly after graduation, Ali entered the U.S. Coast Guard and served for five and a half years in search and rescue. After his service, Ali attended Texas A & M University where he graduated with honors in 2012. He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Construction Science and worked for Garney Company in Dallas for about a year. Ali then moved to Houston and worked as a preconstruction coordinator for Sun Coast Post Tension. Ali was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Centerville. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: "Pa" Fred Moore and "Pa" Jafar Aghaei and his uncle, Randy Moore.
Surviving family members include parents, George & Rita Aghaei of Centerville; son, Cameron Abbott Aghaei of College Station; grandmother, Zelma Moore of Centerville and "Ma" Sourieh Aghaei; fiancé, Jodi Colvin of Houston and sister, Lisa Michelle Koym of Centerville. Ali is also survived by a host of friends and other extended family.
Serving as pallbearers: Duane Palmer, Adam Dillaplain, Allen Van Wey, Tab Dougherty, Justin McDonald and Chance Word. Honorary pallbearers: Dan Pace, Chris Williams, Sam Garrett, Aaron Watson and Leann Franks.
The Aghaei family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be given in Ali’s memory to the following: “The Jason Raines Memorial Scholarship Fund” (can be made through the Wells Fargo Bank in Centerville, Texas) or to the “A&M Foundation”: www.txamfoundation.com
