Sara Anne YAGER(1994 - 2014)
YAGER, Sara Anne
Sarah Anne Yager, 20, was taken from us too soon on November 26, 2014. She brought smiles and laughter since her birth on July 31, 1994. Sarah grew up in Buda, Texas, graduated from Hays High School in 2012 and was a junior in mechanical engineering at Texas
A&M University. She led her high school class as valedictorian, energetically served the Rebel Band as Band President her senior year, was president of the National Honor Society, and won UIL regional awards in art and band. At Texas A&M she was recently awarded
a research scholarship for a project she had proposed. While her accomplishments were many, we will mostly miss Sarah's quirky sense of humor, her energy, her passion for life and yes, even her bossiness. She loved hanging out with her sister Emily and her
friends, camping, hiking, reading, and marching band. And chocolate. Her most recent passions were cooking and rock climbing. She also loved spending time with family: on the Yager farm with Mimi and Pappy, at the lake with Nana and Popo and traveling all
over the United States with her Dad, Mom and sister. She loved snow skiing, white water rafting and climbing, particularly Angels Landing at Zion National Park. Whatever she was doing, she was almost always singing, usually at the top of her lungs. She is
survived by her parents, James and Cheryl Yager and her sister, Emily, of Buda, Texas, her grandparents Dr. and Mrs. Robert Fain of Stephenville, Texas and Mr. and Mrs. HM Yager of Cameron, Texas, her uncles and aunts, Dr. and Mrs. Jim Fain of Stillwater and
Mr. and Mrs. David Yager of Austin and her cousins, Jonathan and Logan Fain and Joyce and Amanda Yager, as well as much extended family and many friends. A visitation with family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5th at Thomason
Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 6th at her home church, First Baptist Church in San Marcos, Texas. Burial will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Little River Cemetery in Milam County. Her family is deeply grateful for the
outpouring of support from their family and friends during this difficult time. We thank God for giving Sarah to us for 20 years and ask that He keep her safe until we see her again. A memorial scholarship fund will be set up in Sarah's name in a few days.
Details will be published on the funeral home website. You may share a message or memory in the memorial guestbook at www.thomasonfuneralhome.com Funeral arrangements entrusted to Thomason Funeral Home, 2001 Old Ranch Road 12, San Marcos, TX. (512) 396-2300
