ISABEL "CHELELO" RIOS
Isabel "Chelelo" Rios, 45, of Bronx, New York/ Brownsville, TX, he passed away on, Wednesday, April 2, 2014 in New York City, New York.
He graduated from from Porter High School class of 87, and then attended Texas A&M University graduating with a Bachelors in Science Enviromental Design in 1991. Isabel went on to obtain his Masters of Architecture from Rice University in 2001.
He designed the Brownsville Federal Court House and had been involved in the design of other New York Buildings. He was currently employed at Ronnette Riley Architect Company of Manhattan New York.
He is survived by his parents, Isabel & Maria Paula Rios; fiancée Emily Parkman; brothers and sisters, Francisco Rios (Lisa), Angelina Rios (Alfonso), Demetrio Rios (Lannette), Arturo Rios (Alma) and Jaime Rios; nieces and nephews, Itzel Rios, Aketzali Rios, Dillon Rios, Paula Rios, Ana Laura Rios, Veronica Rios, Arturo Rios, Armando Sanchez, Alex Sanchez, Alberto Ramirez, Aaron Rios, Jared Rios, Mariah Zavala, and Nike Martinez; and Best Friends, Tony Flores and Juan Alcalde.
A 24 hour vigil service will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday April 9, 2014, with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at Garza Memorial Funeral Home until 1:30 p.m. on Thursday April 10, 2014.
Funeral Mass will follow at 2 p.m. on Thursday at San Felipe de Jesus Catholic Church, 2215 Rancho Viejo Ave. in Brownsville.
Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Francisco Rios, Arturo Rios, Demeterio Rios, Dillon Rios, Armando Sanchez, Alfonso Balderas, Tony Flores, and Juan Alcalde
