Robert "Bob" Braslau
August 14, 1933 - March 15, 2014 Robert Braslau, born in Galveston, Texas, died at his home in Santa Monica at the age of 80, surrounded by his family. The highlight of Bob's career at TRW was his participation in the Apollo program, sending men safely to the moon. After retirement he discovered a passion for sculpting. He was a volunteer at the California Science Center, the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium, and the Page Museum. Bob was married for 52 years to Sheila Halpert Braslau, who passed away on November 25, 2008. Bob and Sheila are survived by their three children and sons- and daughter-in-law, Rebecca Braslau and Chris Gordon, Alan Braslau and Nathalie Rachline, Stacy Braslau-Schneck and Dave Schneck, and four grandchildren: Fiona, Neil and Tess Braslau, and Monica Schneck. Bob is also survived by his younger brother David; their older brother Norman died in 1997. Bob faced his death with courage and dignity. The family wishes to thank all who contributed to his quality of life, friends and professionals, especially towards the end.

Robert Braslau, born in Galveston, Texas, died at his home [on March 15, 2014] in Santa Monica, California, at the age of 80, surrounded by his family. Bob was an aerospace engineer: the highlight of his career at TRW was his participation in the Apollo program, sending men safely to the moon. After retirement he discovered a passion for sculpting. He was a volunteer at the California Science Center, the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium, and the Page Museum.

Bob was married for 52 years to Sheila Halpert Braslau, who passed away on November 25, 2008.
