Charles Gale Cook
Memorial service for Mr. Charles "Gale" Cook, 90, of Nacogdoches will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Laird Funeral Home with Dr. Bob Little officiating. Charles "Gale" Cook was born in Port Arthur, Texas, on June 13, 1923, to Lee Cook and Bernice Jacobs Cook. Gale joined the Army Air Corps on Dec. 17, 1941, and separated Oct. 30, 1945. He served a tour in the China Burma India Theater and the Pacific Theater of Operations with the 20th Army Air Force. Gale was a graduate of the Texas A&M College of Architecture. He was a practicing registered architect for 61 years. Gale married Judy Murphy on Dec. 5, 1943. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy; his son, Charles Dean Cook; and his parents, Lee and Bernice. Gale married Julia Morris on Sept. 7, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Julia; his children, Sandra Cook Weaver and husband, Ralph, Philip Gale Cook and wife, Nancy, and Colleen Cook and friend, Tina Talamini; step-daughters, Mona Morris Shires and husband, Rick, and Mary Morris Parker and husband, Mike; his grandchildren, Jason Burke Weaver and wife, Christine, Collin Gale Weaver and fiancé, Christina, Zachary Jon Weaver and wife, Ellen, Charles Justus Cook, Nicholas Gale Cook and wife, Bonnie, Caroline Murphy Cook, Kristin Shires, Kendall Shires, Noelle Parker and Hope Parker, as well as two great-granddaughters, Katherine and Emily Weaver. Jason Weaver, Collin Weaver, Zachary Weaver, Justus Cook, Nicholas Cook and Caroline Cook will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family wishes to express special thanks to Gale's caregiver of the last months, Tasha Sailors. Also, thanks to Dr. Brent Campbell and staff, as well as Dr. Philip LaBarbera and staff. Memorials may be made to The Hospice of East Texas or the charity of your choice . Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014. Laird Funeral Home.

Charles Cook
Memorial service for Charles Cook, 90, of Nacogdoches will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Laird Funeral Home with Dr. Bob Little officiating. Mr. Cook died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, in Nacogdoches. He was born June 13, 1923. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21. Laird Funeral Home.
