Joe Roy Mallow(1936-2014
 Mr. Joe Roy Mallow, 77, of Bartlesville, died at 1:17 P.M. on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the Bartlesville Health & Rehab facility.
Funeral services for Mr. Mallow will be held at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joe Colaw of the First Wesleyan Church officiating. Private interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mr. Mallow was born in Brownwood, Texas on March 22, 1936 the son of Wesley LaRoy and Eris (McQueen) Mallow. He grew up and received his education in Brownwood and graduated from high school there. He also grew up attending the Methodist Church in Brownwood. He then attended Texas A&M at College Station, Texas where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Geology. Following his graduation he was employed in the oil industry as a geophysicist in Midland, Texas and had several overseas assignments including Tripoli, Libya from which he was evacuated during the "Six Day War". He was employed with Phillips Petroleum Company in Houston in 1966 and again had overseas assignments. He made his home in Argentina, Columbia, Norway, Ghana and later returned to Bartlesville and then Houston where he retired from Phillips in 1982. Following his retirement he worked as a consultant for EXXON and had re-dedicated his life to Christ. Mr. Mallow returned to his childhood home at Brownwood, Texas where he enjoyed keeping in contact and having breakfast with his high school classmates. As a young man he loved to hunt and fish and he enjoyed playing the guitar. He was also involved in the membership of the local gun club in Brownwood. Mr. Mallow moved to Bartlesville two years ago to make his home with his daughter. He loved pets and had dogs and cats. Mr. Mallow was married to Peggy Johnson in Midland, Texas for approximately 10 years and was later married to Angelica Vargas for 16 years.
Mr. Mallow is survived by one daughter, Tina Steele and her husband Ragon of Bartlesville, one son, Mike Mallow and his wife, Jennifer of Wimberly, Texas, his previous wife, Angelica Vargas of Houston, Texas, one brother, James Mallow and his wife Maurice of Brady, Texas, seven grandchildren, Brian Long, Kyle Long, Logan Mallow, Austin Mallow, Tara Lemon, Jake Steele and Bethany Cowan, fourteen great grandchildren, a niece, Melodianne Mallow and a nephew, Morgan Mallow. Mr. Mallow was preceded in death by his parents.
