On December 22, 1980, Michael Carl Nobles was born in Tulsa, OK to James and Kathryn Nobles. At the age of 3 years old, Michael trusted Jesus Christ to be His Savior and Lord; several years later he was baptized in the San Gabriel River in obedience to Christ.
Growing up in Rockdale, TX, he and his older sister, Jennifer, were home schooled for several years and grew very close. They loved theatrics playing musical instruments, storytelling and GI Joe. In sixth grade Michael made the decision to go into law.
Michael graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelors Degree in 2003. Already having met Kendra German and after a short period of correspondence, Michael decided to travel to Cypress in late July to surprise her with a bouquet of white roses. As their courtship
progressed, the roses he selected to give her became darker and richer in color, with the indication that the day she received red roses from him, she would know he had made the decision to marry her. That day was November 1, 2003, where in the presence of their
families, he proposed to her at his parents' ranch. They married at Cypress Bible Church in this very sanctuary on March 13, 2004. Following Kendra's graduation from Texas A&M in 2005, they moved to Cypress for Michael to proceed with pursuing a law degree.
He graduated South Texas College of Law in 2008 and began practicing law. He established the law firm of Nobles and Murphy and began to impact the community through families and churches. He championed many causes and his associations with the community knew
no
barriers.
According to Michael on his LinkedIn profile, he enjoyed “outdoor activities, any friendly competitions, debate, apologetics, philosophy, talking to people I don't know, travel, writing, influencing jurors, trying new foods, professional networking.” Michael
was well known for being a great whistler and singer, skills he would fearlessly exhibit not only in church, but unabashedly in the humblest of Wal-marts. He was a courageous hunter who loved sharing the experiences with friends and family, a gifted orator,
and mentor to young men including those who interned at his firm, as well as the many he met in day-to-day life. He was also known for being a pursuer of justice and doing the right thing. He considered his biggest accomplishments to be his marriage to Kendra,
his upcoming fatherhood to Grace (whose name he chose himself) and his relationship with God.
His many memberships included the Cy-fair A&M Club, serving on the board of the Texas Aggie Bar Association, and beginning and leading a men's Bible study.
Michael leaves in life his wife Kendra of nine years, daughter Grace German Nobles, parents James and Kathryn Nobles, sister Jennifer Weed and husband Joseph of Toronto, Canada, grandparent Evelyn Vavra, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Michael deeply
loved his family, friends and his Lord Jesus Christ, and he will be greatly missed.
